Dear LP families,
Once again, Lambrick Park had an excellent Fall Sport Season:
Cross Country: The Provincial Cross Country Championships were held at Jericho Beach on November 6th. LP’s Junior Boys team qualified and did very well placing 14th as a team out of 30 teams in the province. The Junior boys are Griffin H, Gavin L, Will H, Matt D, Finn K, Ethan H, and Theo T. LP’s Senior Girl – Elaine K – ran very well but due to an extremely muddy course finished the race with one shoe after she lost one in the mud. Aiden G was the only Senior Boy that qualified and finished in 15th out of the 280 Senior Boys that ran the race. Well done to all of the Cross Country runners. We had the largest team ever at Lambrick Park with 30 students joining the team this year! Coaches were Tom Turnbull, Jill-Marie Moreau, and Keith Grew.
Volleyball: Our Junior Boys, Senior Boys and Senior Girls Volleyball teams have ALL qualified for Islands – GOOD LUCK next week at Islands to our volleyball teams!
Boys Soccer: LPFC returns from a successful Island Championship tournament. The boys played excellent soccer for two days but unfortunately lost in the final. LPFC placed 2nd on the Island! Good luck at Provincials and the Colonist Cup!
Rowing: The Lambrick Park Rowing team had an exceptional season. The boys advanced double of Jacob R and Nathan K were undefeated all season ending the season with an exciting championship final with a win to bring home the trophy for Lambrick. Jacob and Nathan were joined by novice rowers Griffin S and Isaac B in the competitive Open Quad category for a podium finish of 3rd. Our Novice Quad of Griffin, Isaac, Drew F and Cristina R shined all season with a fantastic 2nd place podium finish. With 14 rowers competing against larger teams Lambrick Rowing Team placed 4th overall just behind the larger schools, two with year long rowing academies placing ahead of them. All rowers worked hard all season in challenging weather conditions with smiles on their faces. Our rowing team welcomed 10 international students really making this year special. Huge thanks to the coaching team for their dedication and bringing the fun! LP had 1 first place finish, 1 second place finish and 1 third place finish at City Championships last weekend!
CONGRATS to all of our athletes that participated in a Fall Sport!
THANKS to the countless house of volunteer time put in by our parents, community and staff coaches.
LP is very lucky to have so many adults supporting our athletics programs.
Again, GOOD LUCK to all of the teams that have qualified to move onto the Island and/or Provincial Championships. GO LP!
