DECEMBER 20-JANUARY 03     WINTER BREAK – school closed

 Dear LP families,

It is amazing that we are near the end of November. Hopefully all of our LP families have been doing OK through the fuel shortages and rains recently.

Ms. Paas is the new Principal of Stelly’s Secondary starting in January. Congrats on your new position, we are going to miss you.

Consequently, we would like to welcome Mr. Geoffrey Macdonald as the new Vice Principal here at Lambrick, we are looking forward to working with you.

Good luck to our Volleyball teams that will be competing in the Provincial Championships over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks to all of our coaches, parents, and student athletes for all of your hard work and dedication during the Fall season of sports.

Good luck to our Winter Sport teams as their seasons begin next week.

If you haven’t had a chance to order from Purdy’s please do so soon.

Hopefully we use the rain that is in the forecast to opportunistically get some holiday season preparations started.

Have a great weekend.

Daily Health Checks

As cold season is upon us, we would like to remind students and parents of the Daily Health Check (https://www.k12dailycheck.gov.bc.ca/healthcheck?execution=e1s1).  For the safety and well-being of all, please ensure that you/your child stays home if your symptoms require it.

CLOTHING DRIVE: We have donation bins for gently used or new “Warm Clothing and Jackets” to help support those in need during the winter months. If you are clearing out your closets, or have anything to donate, please have your student bring those items in. Anything you have to donate would be appreciated.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS from the GVSD61

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As the winter break approaches, the District would like to remind families and staff about travel requirements when leaving and returning to the country.

All travellers returning to/entering Canada must follow the testing and quarantine requirements. For all details, including 72 hour or less trips, please visit: www.travel.gc.ca.

There are some exemptions for fully vaccinated travellers who are permitted to enter Canada. We recommend that you review travel requirements prior to travel as advisories or guidelines may evolve.

Students, staff and other adults who are not fully vaccinated and have travelled outside of Canada CANNOT attend school for 14 days after arrival, as part of federal requirements. This includes children under 12 who are travelling with their fully vaccinated parents.
