1. Homeroom on Thursday and Friday next week
As mentioned last week, the LP staff will be participating in 2 days of Orientation on Tuesday and Wednesday. The school will not be open during these times.
Students with last names A-L are expected to be in Homeroom 10:00 am on Thursday Sept 10th
Students with last names M-Z are expected to be in Homeroom 10:00 am on Friday Sept 11th
Students will be given their course schedules and detailed information on safety protocols. It is imperative that all students attend the designated homeroom times listed above.
Full classes will begin on Monday, September 14th
We have 8 different entrances to our school, we have posted at each entrance updated safety information and some school maps to help those students new to our building get a bit of a visual of where things are located here at LP. Unfortunately students will not be able to enter the school at this time, but If you live near the school, or are in the neighbourhood, feel free to come by and check it out. To help kids know where to go on Homeroom day, we will be posting detailed lists around the school on Wednesday morning. We will also have staff around to help students find their homerooms.

- Survey FAQs
Thanks to those that were able to completed the District Return to School Options Survey. Attached are some of the FAQs the District office received regarding the survey and the result. In speaking with many of you over the week, there was some confusion on who should complete the survey. We are assuming that those of you that did not reply, are planning on returning to LP for face-to-face/in-class instruction. If that is not the case please let the school know immediately.
- Course/Schedule Changes: Under our new Quarter System it will be critical to have classes settled as quickly as possible. How we handle changes in a “typical” year (more flexibility/time for course changes) will not be possible this year. Students will be given details in homeroom on the course change procedure if a change is absolutely required.
- The School District has also asked us to distribute the attached welcome back to school letter to all of our families.
Have a safe and restful long weekend.
