Each year for the past couple of years we’ve been collecting money to purchase Christmas gifts for members of the Our Place community. We have been given 10 names this year and need to raise about $450 to purchase gifts.  Students will be coming around to classes just before lunch (B block) on Thursday, December 8 for an “empty your pockets” fundraising blitz asking students to donate what they can.  Once we have collected the money, I run out to Costco to buy the gifts (usually a hoodie or sweater, some warm undergarments and some chocolates and other treats) then the leadership kids wrap them all up, include a nice card and we deliver them to Our Place by December 12th.
